Top station is at a distance of 32km from Munnar. It is on Munnar-Kodaikanal road. It offers you a panoramic view of the Western Ghats and valley of Theni district. During the winter season, the mist covered hills give you an illusion like you are above the clouds and they are a hand distance away from you. This area is popular for Neelakurinji (Strobilanthus) which blooms once in 12 years only. Last massive blooming of Neelakurinji happened in 2006 and the one is expected on 2018. It is at a height of 1700m above the sea level. Top station is suitable for trekking as well as camp stays. Its scenic beauty makes it one of the major destinations to be explored at Munnar. On the way to the Top station, you can see a lake bank with abundant green sceneries around it. Echo point got its name from the phenomenon of echo which you can get if you make any loud sound from the bank which will be returned from the hills. It is at a distance of 15KM from Munnar and is a popular tourist spot.
